Following changes made in the Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure in 1999 attorneys may now provide legal services to those persons who wish to move their case through the court system without an attorney formally representing them through the entire case.

In other words, attorney’s can now offer advice prior to and during the course of a divorce, without being involved for the entire case. This seems to be very beneficial for those who are working with a mediator to dissolve the marriage or are negotiating with their spouse themselves.
